Logan is a simply breathtaking city within Cache County. This city was founded in 1859 by Mormon setters sent by Brigham Young in order to survey for the site of a fort near the banks of the Logan River. Logan received its name after an early fur trapper, Ephraim Logan, in the early days of the town. The city of Logan was incorporated on January 17, 1888 and shortly after work began for a Latter-Day Saint tabernacle and temple.
Logan developed from a slow and steady growth until recent decades, when the population increased at a significantly higher rate. In the mid-1960s Logan grew to about 20,000 people, but by the year 2010 the cities population approached approximately 50,000 individuals.
